English
1. Scope
Shoorkum accepts good-faith appeals for eligible content removals, audience restrictions, reputation reversals, feature restrictions, warnings, and account suspensions. An appeal requests reconsideration; it does not guarantee restoration.
2. How to appeal
Use the appeal control shown with the decision, support, or in-app Help & Safety. Submit one appeal per decision and include:
- Account nickname and post, comment, or decision identifier.
- Approximate decision date and challenged action.
- A concise explanation of why the decision is mistaken or disproportionate.
- Relevant context, including whether content described harm to seek help rather than encouraged it.
- A reliable source needed to assess a copyright, legal, or factual issue.
Never send passwords, one-time codes, unrelated private conversations, unnecessary identity documents, threats, or repeated duplicates.
3. Review process
Shoorkum may compare the appeal with the content, rule, automated signal, report history, audience, account history, and safety context. A person will review an eligible appeal where reasonably available, especially when the original action relied materially on automation. We may ask for clarification without requiring excessive personal information.
Shoorkum normally acknowledges a complete appeal within 7 days and aims to decide within 30 days. Urgent safety errors receive priority. Complex ownership, legal, child-safety, or law-enforcement matters may take longer. We will not reveal information that could expose a reporter, minor, anonymous author, security method, or confidential investigation.
4. Possible results
- Restore the content, feature, reputation, or account.
- Restore with an age/audience restriction, warning, or edit requirement.
- Replace the action with a less or more restrictive action based on the complete record.
- Uphold the action.
- Defer when a competent authority or binding process must decide.
When an appeal succeeds, Shoorkum will make reasonable efforts to reverse associated reputation effects and public restrictions. User-made copies and lawfully retained records may not be recallable.
5. Limits and abuse
Shoorkum may decline an appeal that remains incomplete after clarification, concerns content the appellant did not own or submit, repeats a final decision without new evidence, includes threat or fraud, or is prohibited by law. Emergency measures may remain during review.
Do not retaliate against or attempt to identify a reporter. Reporter identity is not disclosed merely because an appeal is filed.
6. External rights and retention
This process does not prevent a complaint to a competent regulator, consumer body, court, or mandatory dispute channel and does not extend a legal filing deadline.
Appeal and related moderation records are retained up to 24 months after closure, or longer under a valid legal hold.
